Perform at the UniverSoul Circus Hip Hop Night Showcase -- Auditions available Sunday, July 26th
HIP HOP UNDER THE BIG TOP
Calling all Alabama and areawide Hip Hop and R&B unsigned artists.
The UniverSoul Circus will be in Birmingham from Wednesday, August 12th to Sunday, August 16th , 2009 at Legion Field under the Big Top.
Friday night, August 14th is Hip Hop Night at the UniverSoul Circus and Bama Hip Hop is coordinating a showcase of 3 local artists to perform before the kids and families in attendance. An audience of about 2500 is expected. Auditions are scheduled for Sunday, July 26th.
All music lyrics must be clean, radio edit versions of original songs. No thugging, fighting, coochie or dope dealing songs permitted. This is a family affair of all ages. Bring your best party, dance, up beat type song to the mic. Auditions will be held on Sunday, July 26th. Selected Artists will get to perform 1 song and pass out promotional materials and CDs and will be promoted online, in media and flyers prior to the start of the big show on August 14th.
Open Mic auditions will be held on Sunday, July 26 starting 8 p.m. at Studio 231, located at 231 East Broad Street, Gadsden, AL. 1 song presentation (4 minutes maximum time on stage). No hardcore lyrics---radio clean edit. Final selection will be made by UniverSoul Circus National Marketing Director and her staff during the audition.

Admission to Studio 231 is $5 per person age 18 and older with proper ID. Audition spot reservation a flat-rate $25 per act.* A portion of the audition registration fee will go towards the purchase of a child's ticket for a civic non-profit organization such as Boys and Girls Club.
We are also looking for ticket sponsors to help us send youngsters in daycare or grade school to the circus shows from families of limited incomes for the educational as well as the entertainment value of this special experience. See the Adopt-A-Class promotion on the UniverSoul Circus website.
